\n\uff65Dyeing tenugui by using pattern sheet (stencil) which is held by a wooden frame.
\n\uff65Different type of pattern sheets (stencil) are prepared on a monthly basis.
\n\uff65Experiencing the originality of a craftsman’s techniques, skills as followings:
\n\uff65’Katatsuke’- applying a layer of starch on the pattern sheet(stencil).
\n\uff65’Senshoku’- dyeing fabric in many different patterns\/motifs by using a wide selection of dyes.
\n\uff65\u2019Kiji-arai’ – washing to remove the starch and excess dye.<\/div>\n
\"\u81ea\u5206\u3060\u3051\u306e\u624b\u306c\u3050\u3044\u3092\u65e5\u5e38\u306b\"
\n\u30fb1 group can dye a piece of fabric that is 1 tan in size.
\n(tan = measurement unit)
\n\u30fb1 tan is able to produce 10 \uff5e11 pieces of tenugui.
\n\u30fbTenugui can dry fast. Therefore, it can be used as a hand towel, even it is a good choice as a wiping cloth and various usages in daily life.
\n\u30fbCreate your own piece of tenugui bearing your characteristic continuously.<\/div>\n

I think dyeing tenugui requires not only skills and techniques, but it also involve fine elements of physical science. If I were a Junior High school student, it would help me in chemistry study. It was an amazing experience.\u3002<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
